Musicians carrying instruments down a gold-lit New Orleans street at twilight

By invitation · Industry Power List

The Jupitorial

The industry is rigged. We built our own.

For an independent musician today, the game is set up for you to fail. Streaming platforms pay fractions of a penny, studio time drains your bank account, and the algorithm demands a content churn that burns you out before your debut EP.

The manifesto

You are expected to be your own producer, booking agent, marketing agency, and manager — all while trying to actually create the art.

The traditional industry model extracts the culture and leaves the creator empty-handed. But here in New Orleans, we don’t wait for the industry to fix itself. We build our own infrastructure.

Welcome to the Big Red NOLA ecosystem. We aren’t a traditional label looking to own your masters and dictate your sound. We are a cultural sustainability engine designed to give independent artists the professional resources they need to thrive.

The infrastructure

From the studio to the stage.

Four operational pillars that bridge the gap between independent talent and a sustainable career.

World-Class Production

Professional recording, engineering, mixing, and mastering at rooms like Marigny Studios and The Box. Independent artists get the same sonic standards as the majors — without handing over the masters.

The Visual Arsenal

We don't just record the track; we document the whole creative process. Photography, documentary videography, and music videos that give artists the exact assets they need to market themselves.

Securing the Stage

Music is meant to be felt in a room. We actively book gigs, showcases, and major cultural moments — from Freret clubs to the French Quarter Festival — putting artists in front of audiences that matter.

Publishing, Distribution & IP

Big Red NOLA Publishing handles rights, distribution, and royalties. The goal isn't streams; it's financial sustainability. Culture flows back to the creator who actually made it.

The invitation

This is for the people who can move the room.

The Jupitorial convenes the power list — executives, founders, publishers, and culture-keepers who understand that the culture originates here. The talent is already here. Now the infrastructure is here, too.

Stop waiting for the old industry to discover New Orleans. Step into the ecosystem, protect the IP, and help us bring the next creative vision to life.

Forty years on the board in New Orleans. From Cash Money’s foundational sessions to the prodigies cutting vocals this week, the work has been the same: keep the record, protect the room, and make sure the people who build the culture get paid for it.
